HTC U11 – Much better this time

My overall impression of the HTC U Ultra wasn’t that great and seeing the device first hand didn’t really change my opinion. HTC has just launched the HTC U11, which is greatly making up for the damages the U Ultra has caused. Continue reading “HTC U11 – Much better this time”

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus vs. S7 and S7 Edge – is it worth the upgrade?

Looking back at 2016, the S7 Edge was hands down one of the best smartphones, with one of the best designs, which it still is to this date. Things have greatly changed with the launch of the S8 and S8 Plus now. With the introduction of the two new devices, Samsung officially came back swinging after their Note 7 demise, with what might be the best design for 2017. So is this new phone good enough to have users upgrade from 2016’s S7 or S7Edge? Here, I will list some features that give the “edge” to the new devices, as well as other features and specifications that might keep away from ever considering upgrading to the new flagship.

If you’re really into smartphones, then you were probably on the edge of your seat waiting for the Galaxy S8 unpacked event. HTC U Ultra – What were they thinking?

Source: http://www.htc.com/us/smartphones/htc-u-ultra/

Many of us are looking for that elegant and dependable smartphone, and HTC has been known to manufacture such phones. This year, HTC has launched a new smartphone lineup, the U series, which contains the U-Play (midrange) and U-Ultra (high-end flagship). The company has also decided to join the competition and adopt the metal and glass design. Their new 5.7-inch flagship looks as much as elegant, as it seems capable on the specs sheet, but is that the case?

The Galaxy S8 and everything we know until now

Samsung has been preparing to bring their A-game for their unpacked event next Sunday. At MWC, the company showed a teaser video for the Galaxy S8 phone, which and according to SamMobile, was the most viewed corporate brand video for the week between March 6 and March 12.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+have been leaking left and right for some time now, from the specs to colors, and some important features. Tech journalist Evan Blass has been at the head of these leaks, where he started off by leaking the Galaxy Tab S3 and went on to leak a lot of information about the S8 and S8+. This is almost everything that has been leaked about the two phones that are set to be unveiled on the 29th of this month.

Smart Contact Lenses

You can’t really be surprised by the number of new devices being launched in the upcoming couple of years, especially with everything going “smart” recently. We have seen smart rings, belts, and most recently lenses. There are some companies who have already patented different types of smart contact lenses, all having different uses. With the developments we have witnessed over the past couple of years our smartphones became more computer like replacing many activities you usually need a laptop for, your watches can now track your activities and even make calls. This makes the development of more “smart” devices less surprising, but we welcome all. So, what kind of smart contact lenses are being made, and by who?

Samsung’s Secure Folder App

Samsung has just realized the Nougat update for S7 edge devices in Lebanon. Now, I’m not new to the update as I didn’t want to wait for the OTA update to arrive, and so I went ahead and flashed my S7 Edge with the UK version of the firmware (I don’t recommend it unless you know all the risks of flashing a firmware). With the update’s welcomed arrival, Grace UX, apps, and many new features arrive. Features and Apps that were present in the company’s late Note 7 device. An app that just became available to the S7 Edge is Samsung’s Secure Folder App. Users have to download the application from the Galaxy Apps Store. Continue reading “Samsung’s Secure Folder App”
